General meeting and program, including a member show table of plants currently in bloom.

Special topic - Tolumnias: Small but Mighty. These tiny equitant orchids are small but produce the most delicate flowers with a wide range of colors and patterns. The small size of the plants allows indoor hobbyists to cultivate these plants even if space is limited and a added bonus, they are easy to grow and bloom. Deb Boersma will discuss the species used in hybridization and show some of the most spectacular hybrids and cover their cultural requirements.

Special topic: Jill Wood is speaking on growing in terrariums and tents. No greenhouse? No problem! Jill will discuss how she grows orchids in Wardian cases and tents. She will discuss what equipment she uses for her setups. Bring your questions! Jill Wood exhibits her orchids at local Michigan orchid shows in her Wardian case.

General meeting and program, including a member show table of plants currently in bloom. This meeting is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Orchid raffle. Parking is free and behind the church. Enter in the back.

We will also be holding a swap and sale. Bring your bug and disease free plants, divisions, supplies, etc. . . that you would like to sell or trade to this meeting. Cash transactions only. Plants are not limited to orchids.
