Education meeting - Orchid Keikis

  • Sanctuary 300 Willits Street Birmingham, Michigan, 48009 United States (map)

MOS Education Meeting: My orchid has a keiki - what do i do now?

Our September education meeting will cover orchid keiki care and handling. Keiki is the Hawaiian word for baby. Phalaenopsis, certain Dendrobiums and certain Epidendrums are known to produce these. They can be removed from the parent plant but timing of the removal and subsequent care can be tricky. Randi Martin will discuss the removal and care of the keiki.

Time & Date: The education meeting starts at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 20st, 2026. Location: Birmingham Sanctuary.

Be sure to stick around for our general meeting afterwards!
